BAYBURT (AA) – In order to draw attention to the protection of Bayburt’s cultural values ​​and historical texture, a clip was prepared with the participation of more than 100 people from various professional groups, including Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan and folk music artist Erdal Erzincan.

More than 100 people who came together with the contributions of Bayburt Science Education and Culture Association (BEKDER), led by Kenan Yavuz Kültürevi, who has been working in Beşpınar village of Demirözü district since 2015, took part in the clip called “Çoruh Türkü Sayler Bayburt”.

In the clip, the participants both played and sang the folk songs “I go, my way is the mountain”, “Al Çuha Mavi Çuha” and “Kalaya Geese Come” from the Bayburt region.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency (AA), Governor Pehlivan said that it is a pleasure to take part in such a project that reflects the cultural texture, traditions and customs of the city where he is serving and prepared for the promotion of the city.

Stating that Kenan Yavuz Kültürevi took his work one step further and reminded some of the traditions of the city from the past to the present with the folk songs of the region, Pehlivan said, “Folk songs are one of the most important tools of cultural transfer. They have our pains, joys, mourning and weddings. We write our individual stories around folk songs, which are our common values. ” said.

Expressing his satisfaction for taking part in the project, Pehlivan said:

“It is a duty of all of us to serve the purpose of bringing what these lands have said from the past to the present. In addition, the participation of non-governmental organizations, craftsmen, civil servants, students and farmers in the preparation of this clip is beautiful, one of the most important cultural codes of ours. Claiming the cultural values ​​of the city today will set an example for future generations. ”

Kenan Yavuz, the founder of Kenan Yavuz Kültürevi, a businessman, stated that they aim to carry the traditional Anatolian culture, which is about to disappear with work, to the next generations and to promote Bayburt, which has a very important place in Turkish-Islamic history.

Yavuz pointed out that they wanted to create awareness in the clip, which featured people from different occupational groups in the city, in order to protect the child-human-water relationship, the natural environment and the historical texture of the ancient city of Bayburt, and thanked Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan who took part in the study.

BEKDER President Mete Emir emphasized that the cultural accumulation of the cities is very important and that it is equally important to take steps that will carry and develop this knowledge into the future.

In this context, Emir pointed out that the clip prepared under the name of “Çoruh Türkü Söyler Bayburt” exactly coincides with the works of Kenan Yavuz Kültürevi and said that as BEKDER, they will be very happy to support the work to be carried out by Kenan Yavuz Culture House in the following period.

Visual arts teacher Zeynel Abidin Öztürk, the director of the clip, stated that the clip was completed with 5 months of work.

Explaining that 33 different scenes were used in the clip, which reflects Bayburt’s natural, historical, touristic and cultural values, Öztürk said:

“Students from different countries such as Mauritania, Somalia and Kazakhstan also accompanied the Bayburt folk songs in the choral parts of the clip. The most important feature that distinguishes this clip from its counterparts is that the clip is shaped around a story. Folk music artist Erdal Erzincan accompanied part of the clip with his saz. ”
