“It is said that this gate, called the soldier’s gate, got its name from its decorations. Two pistols facing the sky; “”He is fighting with a force dedicated to Allah””, and two intertwined crescent motifs indicate that he is “”fighting for the sake of Islam””. The Shua motifs also represent the sun and the scattering of light. It is believed that the door may have been painted blue afterwards to represent the sky. Doors that smell of roses
